Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer Nadeem Zafar Zaidi stated that the High Court has stayed the arrest of him and his two brothers Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin and mother Mehrunissa.
The actor’s estranged wife Aaliya had recorded a statement against him in court recently before a magistrate.
As per a report, the Allahabad High Court has issued a stay against the arrest Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a molestation case filed there by his estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui against him and his four family members, according to his counsel.
Nawazuddin’s lawyer Nadeem Zafar Zaidi said the high court has stayed the arrest of Nawazuddin, his two brothers Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin and mother Mehrunissa. The third brother, Munazuddin, however, failed to get the relief from the court.
An FIR was registered against the family in Muzaffarnagar under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
