After ‘Houseful 4’, Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon are reuniting again for an action-comedy ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
This Farhad Samji directorial, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, marks another association for the ‘Houseful 4’ director-producer-actor trio.
Well, there is one good news. Arshad Warsi has joined the cast of this action-comedy flick. Yes, you heard it right!
As per Koimoi, Arshad will portray the character of Akshay’s friend which is integral to the narrative, with multiple shades and a special look. In this movie, Akshay plays a gangster who aspires to be an actor, with Kriti as a journalist who wishes to be a director.
A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “The makers were looking for someone who could match Akshay’s comic timing and they found him in Munna Bhai’s Circuit, over the years, has aced this space. It’s a first time pairing for the actors.”
The filming is scheduled to begin from January in Jaisalmer and will continue till March.
While the movie is expected to release in 2021, the team is currently on a recce in Jaisalmer and is planning to shoot at places like Jaisalkot and the Gadisar Lake.
“Heavy-duty action scenes to be shot at real locations, choreographed by stunt teams from across the country,” the source added, saying that soon another A-list actress is expected to come on board for ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
The ‘Golmaal’ actor is currently waiting for the release of ‘Durgamati’, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Jisshu Sengupta. This will stream worldwide from December 11 on Amazon Prime Video.
