Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput were undoubtedly one of the most loved couple and the pair were together for over six years.
In a recent interview conducted, Ankita revealed details about her personal life with Sushant and the films she rejected for him!
In conversation, Ankita revealed she had passed on the opportunity to star in the films Happy New Year, Bajirao Mastani and Sultan.
She says, “I remember Farah ma’am had offered me this film (Happy New Year). I had met Shah Rukh Khan sir also. He had assured to give me the best debut. But back of the mind, I was in Macao, Sushant, Shah Rukh sir and I. I was like Bhagwan mera naa ho yaar.”
Furthermore, talking about her relationship with Sushant, Ankita says, “Till today, I have no regrets. I was just trying to build a man, and I did that. I was just trying to be a very strong support to Sushant, and I did that.”
Lokhande also revealed that she was offered a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which she rejected as well. “Nahi sir, mujhe shaadi karni hai (No sir, I want to get married),” were her words.
Ankita added, “People come and told me ‘You left Sushant’. How do you know that? Nobody knows about my thing. I am not blaming anyone here. Sushant made his choice very clear. He wanted to go on with his career. He chose his career and moved on. But for two-and-a-half years, I was dealing with so many things.“
