From ‘Jab We Met’ to ‘Rockstar’, to ‘Tamasha’– Imtiaz Ali has proved his talent time and again.
While Imtiaz made his OTT debut last year with Netflix‘s ‘She’, we hear that he is now back with another series.
According to the Peeping Moon report, the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ director is supposedly making a web series on a sexologist for SonyLIV. The romantic drama series has reportedly been titled ‘Dr. Arora’, starring Kumud Mishra in the lead. The ‘Thappad’ actor will apparently be seen dealing with a social taboo.
Set in the 90s in UP, the series will reportedly tell the love story of a sexologist, with a political backdrop. The series is expected to go on floors next month in UP and ‘Laila Majnu’ fame Sajid Ali is reportedly directing the project.
Imtiaz Ali, along with his brother Arif Ali, has written this show, that will talk about sexuality in an entertaining yet mature way.
Besides, ‘Dr. Arora’, Imtiaz is also said to start working on the production for his two more OTT projects from next month. One of them is the 2nd season of the Netflix series ‘She’, while the other is a satirical comedy, which stars Gajraj Rao & Divyenndu Sharma.
Meanwhile, a few days rumors went rife that Imtiaz Ali & Ranbir Kapoor is all set to collaborate again for the biopic of the controversial singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
However, Bollywood Hungama later reported they are reportedly planning to collaborate but not for Chamkila’s biopic since RK has already played a musician in ‘Rockstar’.
