The gorgeous Dia Mirza had gotten married to Mumbai-based businessman Vaibhav Rekhi on 15 February 2021.
The happy couple has now welcomed their 1st child! Their baby boy was born prematurely on May 14th, 2021.
Taking to Instagram with an emotional post and a cute pic holding her tiny infant’s hand – Dia revealed her son’s name – Avyaan Azaad Rekhi! Avyaan is another name for Lord Ganesha and Lord Vishnu and it means ‘perfection’ and ‘fully content’, as per this report.
“Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU,” Dia wrote.
Explaining the reason behind his premature delivery, she elaborated on the life-threatening complications she suffered during her 1st pregnancy –
“A sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very severe bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life-threatening. Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via an emergency C-section.”
The little toddler will have an elder sister – Samaira, who is Vaibhav’s daughter from his previous marriage with Sunaina Rekhi.
