Vicky Kaushal’s The Immortal Ashwatthama with Sara Ali Khan is on the back burner for now due to budgetary restraints.
However, he has a big release to look forward to – the period drama flick Sardar Udham!
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the upcoming biopic is based on the freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh.
He was the revolutionary behind the assassination of the British administrator Michael O’Dwyer (former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab), in retaliation for the brutal Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.
Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to update his fans that the biopic will be having an OTT release – Sardar Udham will arrive in October 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. The exact release date is awaited.
Vicky is also headlining the biopic of the first Field Marshal of India – Sam Manekshaw, titled ‘Sam Bahadur’. As per previous reports, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra are said to have joined the cast.
