Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty have an amazing sisterly bond and often display their love for each other on social media.
There was once a time when Shilpa was not the doting ‘badi behen’ she is right now. But don’t worry, their stories are hilarious!
The sisters have a three-year difference in age but that didn’t stop a toddler Shilpa from annoying baby Shamita in the crib. In an interview, Shilpa spills, “My dad told me that I did feel a little left out in the first year. Shamita was fairer, I had a dark complexion so I was going through an insecurity phase in my life. I used to ask my mom, ‘why did you make her fair and why did you make me dark?’ At night when she would be sleeping, apparently I would go and pinch her and make her cry.“
A few years after such small pranks, the duo had bigger fights! “There was a time I had locked Shamita inside daddy’s cupboard. Then, when she came out, she was mata chandalini (laughs). Then we have had huge fights. She and I have fought, I have thrown a sun mica piece at her and there’s a cut on her face,” Shilpa laughs.
However, all is fair in love and war, right? All we know is these two now share an unbreakable bond and are each others’ best friends now. Shamita is currently in the Bigg Boss 15 house and she’s received a lot of support from Shilpa.
Prior to Shamita’s entry, Shilpa took to Instagram and posted an adorable reel with her captioning it, “All the bestest, Tunki… my li’l boss lady! The only consolation is I will see you more now, albeit on TV. Will missssssss you, Missy.”
