Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on October 2 in the cruise ship drugs bust case.
He has spent 3 weeks in jail. Bombay High Court heard his bail application after he was denied bail multiple times.
What Was The Case?
Even though no drugs were recovered from Aryan himself, he had been charged with “conscious possession” of the drugs found with Arbaaz Merchant. That is, NCB was alleging he apparently knew that his friend Arbaaz had hidden 6 gm charas for BOTH of them to CONSUME.
His lawyers had refuted the conscious possession charge. “No recovery, no drug consumption” was what they had argued in court. They also stated that the Whatsapp chats that went viral had nothing to do with the ongoing case.
As per NDTV, on Thursday (28 October 2021) Bombay High Court finally granted bail to the star kid!
“No grounds to keep Aryan Khan in jail” – said Bombay HC
Operative part of the order will be made available by tomorrow after which he can walk out of the jail. “By Friday or Saturday, he’ll be out,” said Aryan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi.
