Rajkummar Rao-Patralekhaa got married in a dreamy wedding ceremony at Oberoi Sukhvilas, Chandigarh yesterday.
Patralekhaa’s elegant red saree had a unique Bengali verse inscribed on the veil – “Aamar poraan bhora bhalobasha aami tomay somorpon korilaam” (“I surrender to you my love-filled heart”).
For their wedding reception, Patralekhaa wore a beige silk saree while Rajkummar looked dapper in a sleek black tuxedo and bowtie! Aww, we wish the heartiest congratulations to the happy couple!
For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa had allegedly started dating since 2010 and had co-starred in the 2014 movie Citylights. It was love at first sight for Rajkummar, who saw Patralekhaa in an ad and thought that he would marry her one day!
Being utterly romantic at heart, Rajkummar would go over and above for his lady love and his sweet gesture for Patralekhaa is sure to melt your heart –
“Once, he was running late to see me, so he stopped the cab near the airport and ran all the way to Juhu!,” Patralekhaa had shared to Humans Of Bombay.
Talking about another incident that meant a lot to her, she had elaborated, “When we were earning very little, he surprised me with my favorite bag, which was ridiculously expensive! Years later, when we were in London, someone stole it! I remember calling him, sobbing, while he tried to calm me down. For me, the bag was all about the memories – he had bought it for me when he didn’t have much. That meant so much to me! Later, at our hotel, the exact same bag was waiting for me. These little things make me realise how lucky I am to have him.”
