Divyenndu Sharma has become a sensation after his terrific performance in the ‘Mirzapur’ series by Amazon Prime Video.
The actor has appeared in films like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Chashme Baddoor’ and more.
Now, we hear that Divyenndu will feature in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming production venture. As per a media report, the movie has apparently been titled ‘Thai Massage’ and it also features Gajraj Rao in a key role.
Directed by ‘Malaal’ fame Mangesh Hadawale, the satirical comedy is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2022. Set in Madhya Pradesh, a major chunk of the film has already been shot, as per Pinkvilla.
A source informed the portal, “The team has in-fact shot for a major chunk of this project already right after the restrictions following the second wave of the pandemic were raised. It’s a story set in Madhya Pradesh, and most of the film has already been shot. A brief second schedule is expected to take off soon as the makers intend to get the film ready for a 2022 release.”
The Pinkvilla further suggests that Gajraj & Divyenndu will both be seen playing author-backed roles that have multiple layers.
Imtiaz Ali made his debut as a producer with the 2018 film ‘Laila Majnu’. He has also bankrolled the Netflix series ‘She’.
