FACT-CHECK: Has Karan Johar Really Signed A 3-MOVIE DEAL With Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani?

Date:

Recently, rumours went rife that Karan Johar has signed a 3-movie deal with the newlyweds, Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani.

The couple had previously featured in Dharma Productions’ much-acclaimed movie, Shershaah.

Ever since Sid-Kiara tied the knot on 7 February, reports have been doing rounds that the couple allegedly signed a 3-movie deal with KJo and the first installment will be directed by Shashank Khaitan.

However, a source close to Dharma Productions refuted the ongoing reports and revealed that Karan doesn’t need to ‘bind’ them in any contract.

Karan Johar Signed A 3-Movie Deal With Sidharth Malhotra

Talking to ETimes, the source stated –

“Sid and Kiara are very close to Karan Johar. He doesn’t need to bind them in any contract. All he has to do is ask them. And they will be a part of any film he offers them. The couple never discussed money or contracts with Karan before they were married. Why should they do so now?

When the daily reached out to Karan to ask if he had signed a deal with Sid-Kiara, he replied –

“Not at all.”

Sidharth & Kiara fell in love on the sets of Shershaah and got married last week in Suryagarh, Jaisalmer.
