Yo Yo Honey Singh recently hit headlines after an event organizer allegedly accused him of kidnapping and assaulting him.
The rapper has now broke his silence and called the allegations “false and baseless.”
According to reports, on Wednesday, the owner of Festivina Music Festival, Vivek Raman, filed a complaint with Mumbai Police, alleging that Honey Singh and his crew members kidnapped him and assaulted him.
In his complaint, Vivek claimed that he had organised an event – Yo Yo Honey Singh 3.0 by Festivina – at MMRDA Ground in BKC on April 15. According to Vivek, when the event got cancelled due to some reasons, Honey Singh and his associates held the event organizer captive in a hotel and assaulted him.
Now, the rapper has released a statement on Instagram and claimed that the particular complaint against him is “false and baseless”.
He also mentioned that his legal team is planning to file a defamation suit against the complainant. The statement reads –
“The complaint and the allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company or the complainant which the media is showing since morning. I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company named Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow. I did my performance for whatever time the permission was there for (sic). Rest all such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My Legal Team is already working to file a defamation case against such miscreants.”
Honey Singh was also in the news for his alleged breakup with his girlfriend Tina Thadani.
