The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2023 took place in Abu Dhabi.
Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actor (Male/Female) awards for Vikram Vedha and Gangubai Kathiawadi. See Full IIFA Awards 2023 Winners List –
Hrithik Roshan gave Vedha’s portrayal a ruthless, terrifyingly mad, yet charming, and delectably mischievous tone. Several refer to Vikram Vedha as his ‘career’s finest’.
“Vedha helped unleash a certain madness inside me which I didn’t know existed. So thank you to the universe & thank you to Vedha for helping me discover that madness & the strength to hold that madness” – Hrithik commented.
Alia bagged the coveted Best Actor (Female) for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Unfortunately, she couldn’t be there in person to collect the award, because her Grandfather Narendra Razdan was in critical condition.
