Looks like after Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor are reuniting as the lead couple reportedly.
And not for any other project but Nitesh Tiwari’s tremendously hyped film, Ramayana! The project might go on floors in December of this year.
“Alia was the first choice for Ramayana, but back in the day, the dates couldn’t match due to multiple reasons. But with all the delays, Nitesh and producer Madhu Mantena have gotten back to their first choice and the actress is excited to play a character that could stay with her for a lifetime. Same for Ranbir, who is charged up for this new divine journey of Shri Ram,” a source revealed to Pinkvilla.
The team will allegedly make it official this Diwali. Talking about the role of the antagonist Raavan – KGF hero Yash has been approached to play the part. The deal is still at the talking stage; he is yet to sign the dotted line though.
Ramayana will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar and produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra.
