The Pasoori remake from Satyaprem Ki Katha was released yesterday and it received mixed reactions from fans.
Renowned singer Arijit Singh, who crooned to the recreation – Pasoori Nu, recently revealed why he said yes to the remake.
Last year, Ali Sethi and Shae Gill took the internet by storm with their Pakistani global hit, Pasoori. It was the most searched song on Google in 2022.
Ahead of the release of Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani starrer musical romance, Satyaprem Ki Katha, the makers – Sajid Nadiadwala and Namah Pictures dropped the Hindi remake of the Pakistani hit. While the original track gained immense popularity, the remixed version received criticism.
Arijit Singh Reveals Why He Agreed To Singh Pasoori Remake:
After the release of Pasoori Nu, a series of tweets from Arijit Singh’s unverified Twitter account went viral on social media.
When the singer was asked why he agreed to sing Pasoori remake, Arijit revealed that he struck a deal with T-Series producers for a noble cause.
An internet user asked him, “Can I ask one thing? Why did you say yes to this ? I mean it’s your choice but Just a curiosity I mean when you knew it way before we started talking about it.” To which, he responded,
“The maker has promised me a yearly fund for a school for under privileged. That’s more important. Thode gaali kha lenge.”
