Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in the highly-awaited horror-comedy sequel Chandramukhi 2. The trailer was dropped today in Chennai amid much anticipation.
Directed by P Vasu and produced by Lyca Productions ans Subaskaran, the movie stars Raghava Lawrence as the male lead. Chandramukhi 2 is a sequel to the 2005 iconic Tamil horror flick, Chandramukhi, which starred megastar Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead.
Kangana Ranaut plays the role of a beautiful classical dancer in Vettaiyan Raja’s (played by Raghava) court. The trailer opens with a big joint family coming to stay at a dreamy mansion.
However, they are requested not to enter the south block of the mansion as it is connected to Chandamukhi and then-king Vettaiyan.
The film will release in 5 languages – Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The music is done by the Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani.
The sequel also stars Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik and Subiksha Krishnan.
Talking about her role in Chandramukhi 2, Kangana said in a statement –
“I play a larger-than-life character in a quintessential paisa-vasool entertainer. It’s a mix of genres. The film has a bit of action, comedy, horror, romance and is also a musical. In fact, this is the first time I have been part of a big entertainer playing a larger-than-life character.”
