Alia Bhatt left everyone impressed after she repeated her wedding outfit for the 69th National Film Awards ceremony.
The actress was honoured with the ‘Best Actress’ award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Alia Bhatt made a strong statement as she re-wore her ivory wedding saree – designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee – to receive her National Film Award from the President Draupadi Murmu.
The ceremony was held in New Delhi on 17th October. Alia was accompanied by her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor who was rooting for her.
Alia Bhatt Reveals Why She Repeated Her Wedding Outfit:
On Tuesday evening, Alia took to her Instagram story and revealed the reason behind repeating her wedding saree. Sharing a picture, the actress wrote –
“A special day calls for special outfits. And sometimes, that outfit is already right there. What’s special once can be special again and again 🙂 #Rewear #Reuse #Repeat.”
Alia styled her bridal saree different this time. Alia accessorized her outfit with a kundan choker and matching earrings.
She tied her hair in messy floral-adorned bun and opted for kohl-rimmed eyes, well-defined eyebrows and a red bindi.
The actress shared a series of pictures from the prestigious ceremony. She captioned it –
“A photo, a moment, a memory for life 🤍”
For the unversed, Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor got married in an intimate ceremony on 14 April 2022! The couple welcomed a baby girl, Raha Kapoor, in November.
