Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira is set to tie the knot with Nupur Shikhare in January next year.
Ira Khan and her fiancé Nupur Shikhare are all set to tie the knot on 3rd January 2024! The pre-wedding ceremonies already kickstarted as the couple had their second Kelvan ceremony a couple of days ago.
On November 7, Ira took to Instagram shared pictures from her Kelvan ceremony – an essential part of Maharashtrian wedding traditions, symbolizing the acceptance of the couple into each other’s families and marks the beginning of their journey together.
For the ceremony, Ira dressed as a beautiful Marathi bride-to-be. She opted for a red saree and accessorized it with floral jewelleries. She put up a bindi and did minimal makeup. On the other hand, Nupur complemented her in a yellow kurta and white pyjama.
Ira also offered glimpses of the day on her Instagram stories. Ira’s mother Reena Dutta (Aamir’s first wife) was seen in the pictures. The couple is all smiles in the pictures. Sharing them on Instagram, Ira captioned it –
“Kelvan 2! Ukhana 2! I love him so so much.”

For the unversed, Ira-Nupur got engaged in November last year. Earlier, talking to News18, Aamir confirmed her daughter’s wedding date and also opened up on Nupur. He had said –
“Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen is – his pet name is Popoye — he is trainer, he has arms like Popoye but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy. When Ira was battling depression, he was with her. He is really someone who has stood by her and emotionally supported her. I am happy that they are so happy together. They are very well connected, they really look after each other and care for each other.”
