The Archies Trailer dropped today – the Netflix film has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. The cast includes Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor plays Betty, while Suhana Khan will be seen as the sassy, rich Veronica Lodge. Vedang Raina features as Reggie Mantle, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal as Ethel Muggs, and Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley.

Set against the fictional Riverdale in dreamy mountain hills, The Archies is a slice-of-life, coming-of-age film. Set in 1960s India, the gang explores romance and friendship as they fight for the future of Riverdale as developers threaten to destroy a beloved park.
Archie dreams of being a musician and seems to have gathered a ‘flirt’ reputation. The trailer touches upon Archie, Betty and Veronica’s love triangle. When Veronica’s father decides to convert Riverdale’s iconic green park into a grand hotel, this sours Veronica’s dynamic with the gang. How will these friends handle this hurdle?
This Zoya Akhtar film marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and actor Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor.

Arriving on Netflix on 7th December 2023.
The Archies has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. Zoya also shares the writing credit for the project, along with filmmakers Reema Kagti, and Ayesha Devitre. It is produced by Netflix India, Zoya and Reema’s Tiger Baby, Archie Comics and Graphic India.
