Rajkummar Rao starrer SRI movie gets a new release date!
The film is a biopic on the visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
Directed by Tushar Hiranandani (Saand Ki Aankh fame) and written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, the movie – headlined by Rajkummar Rao – also stars Alaya F, Sharad Kelkar and Jyothika among others.
The makers recently dropped a new picture from the movie along with a new release date. Previously, the biopic was slated to hit theatres on 15th September this year.
Who Is Srikanth Bolla?
He was the 1st international blind student in Brain and Cognitive Science and Business at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)!
From being born blind into a farming family, denied the IIT dream to making a place for himself at MIT and acing a multi-crore business, Srikanth’s story is legendary. His entrepreneurial dream found backing from Ratan Tata who helped Bollant Industries (which manufactures packaging solutions) grow into a big success.
“‘SRI‘ portrays the life of Srikanth Bolla, an industrialist who fearlessly pursued his dreams despite his visual impairment, ultimately founding Bollant Industries.”
– the makers said in the press note.

In cinemas on 10th May 2024!
Talking about his character in SRI, Rajkummar said in a statement-
“Srikanth Bolla is an inspiration! It’s indeed a privilege to play such an inspiring persona who has been through a lot of hardships and, despite that, has risen like a phoenix! I am really looking forward to playing Srikanth.”
The movie is being produced by T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films Production! SRI went on floors in November 2022.
