The Hindi film industry has set the box office ablaze this year and Google India’s ‘Year in Search 2023’ list reveals the films that piqued our curiosity.
2023 was quite a year for Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan. King Khan delivered two back-to-back record breaking blockbusters with Pathaan and Jawan. Both the films have made it to Google India’s top 10 most searched movies in India.
While Jawan has topped the list in India, Pathaan is at the 5th spot. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 secured the 2nd position and The Kerala Story bagged the 6th spot.
Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3, Rajinikanth Jailer, Thalapthy Vijay’s Leo are also in the list. APrabhas-starrer Adipurush, too, found a place on the list. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush sparked controversy over its dialogues, poor VFX and the representation of Ramayana.
SRK’s Jawan and Pathaan have also bagged the 3rd and 10th spot respectively in the global list of most googled films of 2023.

On the global list, only three Hindi films – Jawan, Gadar 2 and Pathaan – made it to the top 10 most googled movies of this year.
