The release of the much-anticipated romantic drama Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, has been postponed.
Originally scheduled to hit theaters on July 5th, the film’s release has been pushed back upon request from exhibitors and distributors.
The makers haven’t revealed a new release date yet, but they’ll announce it soon.
There’s some speculation that the delay might be to avoid competition with the recently released science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD which is performing well at the box office. This move also gives Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha a solo release, instead of having to compete with the action thriller Kill for audience attention.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha promises to be a unique love story that unfolds over two decades, from 2002 to 2023. The trailer hints at a dramatic separation between the lead characters played by Devgn and Tabu. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar portray their younger versions in the film.
