It is believed that Rakul Preet Singh brother, Aman Preet Singh, was arrested by Hyderabad Police in a drug case.
Amanpreet Singh was one of the 13 consumers identified to be involved in another drug racket unearthed by police that was run by Nigerian nationals.
The five peddlers of the network, including two foreign nationals, were arrested by the Narsingi police during a raid at an apartment in Hydershakote. The police seized 199 grams of cocaine.
According to reports, a joint operation involving the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TANB), Cyberabad police’s Special Operations Team (SOT), and Rajendranagar police led to the raid. The operation targeted a drug racket supplying cocaine to high-profile clients in the city. While five drug peddlers, including two Nigerians, were apprehended, Aman Preet Singh was among five others arrested for alleged cocaine consumption.
Following the arrest, Rakul Preet Singh maintained a low profile and did not comment publicly on the matter. The case highlighted the growing concern over drug use within the Indian film industry, with several high-profile actors being investigated or questioned in previous years. While the investigation into Aman Preet Singh’s involvement continues, the incident has undoubtedly cast a shadow over his and Rakul Preet Singh’s careers.
