Sanam Teri Kasam star Harshvardhan Rane shared his thoughts on the film’s re-release, expressing his gratitude that, after nine years, it is finally receiving the recognition and appreciation it deserves.
He also reflected on his first meeting with Bollywood actor John Abraham.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Sanam Teri Kasam actor Harshvardhan Rane recalled a memorable encounter with John Abraham. He shared that while working as a delivery boy, he once had to deliver a Yamaha helmet to the Hyatt Hotel, where the actor was staying.
As per reports, he said, “John sir ko mila tha mai 2004 mein as a delivery boy. Maine ek helmet deliver kiya tha, Delhi me koi toh event tha, mughe btaya gaya tha ki aapko Yamaha ke showroom se Hyatt Regency me ek dabba deliver karna hai. Vaha jaake jab pata chala ki ye John sir ke liye hai toh unki manager ne mughe bola ‘ he has asked you to wait’ he came out to just thank me. Tab mughe samaj aaya ki insaaniyat is number 1. Meri ek second me 10 saal ki schooling hogayi (I met John Sir in 2004 as a delivery boy. I had to deliver a helmet for an event in Delhi. I was instructed to pick up a package from the Yamaha showroom and deliver it to the Hyatt Regency. When I arrived, I found out it was for John Sir. His manager told me, ‘He has asked you to wait.’ He came out just to thank me. That moment made me realize that humanity comes first. In just one second, I felt like I had learned ten years’ worth of life lessons.)“
Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, originally premiered in 2016 but did not achieve box-office success despite its emotional and heartfelt storyline. Now, nine years later, the film was re-released on February 7, 2025, and has received immense appreciation, making a strong impact at the box office. Initially earning ₹16 crore, the film has now reached ₹25 crore in its Day 5 collection.
