Bollywood socialite Orhan Awatramani, known as Orry, is in legal trouble after the Jammu and Kashmir Police booked him for allegedly consuming alcohol near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.
Along with seven others, he faces accusations of violating religious norms and local laws at one of Hinduism’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.
According to news agency ANI, an FIR has been filed against eight individuals, including influencer Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry, for allegedly consuming alcohol in a restricted area. ANI reported, “As per police, an FIR was registered against eight people, including socialite influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry, for allegedly consuming alcohol in a hotel located in Katra.”
A report by Times Now further revealed that the accused include Russian national Anastasila Arzamaskina, who was part of Orry’s group. The FIR, numbered 72/25, was registered at Katra Police Station and lists the following individuals: Orhan Awatramani (Orry), Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina.
The group has been charged with violating an official order from the District Magistrate and allegedly offending religious sentiments by consuming alcohol in a strictly prohibited area. The Cottage Suit area of Katra, where the incident reportedly occurred, is under strict regulations banning non-vegetarian food and intoxicants due to its proximity to the Vaishno Devi shrine, one of Hinduism’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.
A senior Reasi Police official told Times Now that a special team has been assembled to investigate the case. “A special team, under the supervision of SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, has been formed to probe the matter. Notices will be issued to all accused individuals, including Orry, directing them to cooperate with the investigation,” the official stated.
The official further stressed that strict action will be taken against anyone violating laws at religious sites. “SSP Reasi has reiterated that individuals engaging in prohibited activities, such as alcohol or drug consumption at religious sites, will face severe consequences,” the official added.
Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, is a prominent social media personality recognized for his close connections with Bollywood’s Gen Z and young Millennial stars. Based in Mumbai, he regularly attends high-profile Bollywood events and parties. Orry is often seen alongside celebrities such as Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Urvashi Rautela, and Bhumi Pednekar.
