After making a strong Hindi film debut with Shaitaan, Gujarati cinema star Janki Bodiwala has secured a major role in Mardaani 3, the latest installment of Yash Raj Films’ acclaimed female-led cop franchise starring Rani Mukerji.
Rani Mukerji will return as the fierce Shivani Shivaji Roy, while Janki joins the cast as a fellow police officer.
As per reports, a source close to the project shared, “After winning audiences over with her performance in Shaitaan, Janki has secured a significant role in Mardaani 3. Both Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji were impressed by her work in Shaitaan and decided to cast her in an important role. She will portray a police officer in the film and has already begun shooting in Mumbai.”
This marks a significant milestone in Janki’s career, who first gained recognition through her standout performances in Gujarati cinema before making her Hindi film debut.
