In an unexpected revelation, television actress Navina Bole, best known for her role in Ishqbaaz, has accused director Sajid Khan of inappropriate conduct.
Bole claimed that Khan asked her to “remove her clothes.” She disclosed this during an interview with Subhojit Ghosh on his YouTube channel.
The Ishqbaaz actress opened up about her encounter with the casting couch in the industry, recounting how Sajid Khan invited her to his home and made an inappropriate advance. She described him as “a terrible, terrible man” whom she hoped never to meet again, further alleging that Khan targeted several women after Gladrags and repeatedly crossed boundaries in his treatment of women.
Looking back on her interaction with Sajid Khan during the casting process for Heyy Baby, she recounted, “I was genuinely excited when he called me, but then he blatantly said, ‘Why don’t you just take off your clothes and sit in your lingerie? I need to see how comfortable you are.’ This happened around 2004 to 2006, when I participated in Gladrags.”
The actress shared that director Sajid Khan contacted her once again while she was competing in Mrs. India. She recalled, “He called me again and said, ‘What do you do? You should come meet me for a role.’ I thought to myself, this man must be hitting on so many women that he doesn’t even remember he had called me to his place just a year earlier and behaved so inappropriately.”
For those who may not know, Sajid Khan faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment during India’s #MeToo movement in 2018.
