But did you know Vicky Kaushal was almost going to star in the film? Not as the lead but one of the prominent side roles – as cricketer Mohinder Amarnath.
As per this TOI report, Vicky had auditioned for the role and Kabir Khan was keen to cast him also but Vicky ended up opting out of the project. Saqib Saleem eventually ended up playing Mohinder Amarnath on the big screen!
“The audition happened before ‘Raazi’ released and became a hit, after which Vicky preferred to opt out of the project as he didn’t want to play the second lead in the film,” a source told TOI.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is riding high on the success of Sardar Udham. His upcoming projects include Sam Manekshaw biopic ‘Sam Bahadur’, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, ‘Takht’, Laxman Utekar’s next with Sara Ali Khan and ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’.
And on the personal front, he’s enjoying the newlywed life with gorgeous wifey Katrina Kaif.
