Vijay Varma & Shweta Tripathi starrer Kaalkoot series teaser was dropped recently. The duo will be seen together in the upcoming JioCinema original series.
Directed by Sumit Saxena, the crime drama also stars Seema Biswas, Yashpal Sharma and Gopal Datt in pivotal roles.
In the series, Vijay plays the role of a police officer who faces bullying and pressure from his boss at work. His personal life is equally bland as his desperate mother is constantly nagging him to get married. She persistently sends him pictures of potential brides.
One day, things take a dark turn when Vijay’s character is tasked to find a crime suspect – one of the girls his mother suggested becomes a victim of a brutal acid attack.
