Zaheer’s father businessman-jeweller Iqbal Ratnasi confirmed that Sonakshi will NOT be converting to Islam after the wedding. The couple will tie the knot under the Special Marriage Act.
“It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage,” Zaheer Iqbal’s father commented.
He further continued – “Sonakshi is not converting, and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”

As per reports, the civil marriage ceremony will take place at Zaheer’s house and then the couple will head to Bastian for a grand celebration.
Sonakshi-Zaheer’s mehendi pic went viral recently. She wore elegant red ethnic wear while Zaheer Iqbal wore a kurta with a quirky red print and pyjama and cool black shades.

Shatrughan Sinha silenced all rumours of conflict about his daughter’s wedding by posing amicably with groom-to-be Zaheer. He also said ‘Khamosh’ to false reports.
Shatrughan Sinha commented, “It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. The very fact that I have still been in Mumbai conveys that I am here not only as her pillar of strength but as her real kavach (armour) as well. Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding.”

Bride-to-be Sonakshi wore a slinky, sequinned little black dress, while circled by her BFF and girl gang, which includes Huma Qureshi.
On the other hand, Zaheer Iqbal too could be seen hanging out with his best buddies; Huma Qureshi’s brother Saqib Saleem being one of them.
